Schedule just came out

Shams Charania
@ShamsCharania

NBA Christmas Day 2025 on ABC and ESPN, per sources:

- Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks

- San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder

- Houston Rockets at LA Lakers

- Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors

- Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

Of note: the last two games have three cities overlapping gamedays with the NFL. All NBA tipoff times are after those ends.

The Celtics will not be featured in a Christmas Day game for the first time since 2015

Huh

The NBA games are 11 AM - 1130 PM CT
The NFL games are 12 PM - 1030 PM CT

Unless the NBA is your favorite league, you’re prioritizing the NFL over 1/82nd of the NBA season

Guy is maybe the most annoying person to ever find this site. SEC rant really dragging everything else here down.

I think you misread it. He is talking 3 cities that have both NFL and NBA teams playing Christmas Day. He says those cities NFL/NBA teams won’t overlap, rather the NFL game is first and then the NBA game comes on after the NFL game. Cities get big local ratings for sports as a rule. And their fans can watch both games.

Replied with a retort but the NBA is such a 2nd rate operation they haven’t even updated their Christmas Day page with the 2025 games and still have the 2024 games up

It doesn’t matter. If anything the NBA games should go first given football and dinner will be the focus. Families in those markets aren’t carving out MORE time to watch a meaningless regular season game after the preceding activities. By then it’s sleep or going on a “walk” with the cousins. I guess passive bar watching might be high. Big win there
