Approximately 25% of MSNBC commercials are pharmaceutical companies.

It's no wonder MSNBC was such a staunch supporter of the MRNA Juice during the Covid-19 Hysteria Psyop. But it's not just MSNBC, every legacy leftist news outlet relies heavily on Big Pharma subsidization. These leftist media outlets would be scrambling for revenue if not for Big Pharma, hell, they may not even exist without Big Pharma.
Another tasty nugget is many of the pharmaceutical commercials are for anti depressants along with other prescription drugs for anxiety.
Now it makes perfect sense why TDS afflicted Americans are watching Gaslight Media propaganda, after watching 30-60 minutes of Gaslight Media propaganda they know which drug to ask for when they call their therapist.
I just watched an interview on War Room with a gentleman who is trying to get legislators to draft legislation banning Big Pharma advertisements on broadcast, streaming media and print media. Only the US and New Zealand allow Big Pharma to advertise on broadcast, streaming and print media.

Studies from early 2025 indicated that pharmaceutical commercials made up approximately 24.4% of the advertising minutes during evening news programs across several networks, including MSNBC.
However, it's important to note that this figure represents the overall average across multiple networks (ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and NBC), and may not reflect the precise percentage specifically for MSNBC. According to CNN, a December report from research firm eMarketer stated that almost 50% of these drug ads were split across these major news broadcasters, including MSNBC.
Furthermore, research indicates that healthcare and pharma marketers allocate a significant portion (over one-quarter) of their total media ad budgets to traditional channels like linear TV, radio, and print. Prescription drug brands alone contributed 11.6% of the overall spending on national linear TV in 2024.

Not going to lie, after 7pm, felt like on just about every streaming service I watched, just about every other commercial was either a Jardiance, Ozempic, or Skyrizi commercial. After about 10 pm it went to that HIV drug they kept pimping.
Glad RFK jr is reeling that shite in.

seems low
When factoring in total time allocated for Big Pharma ads you're probably right. Every Big Pharma ad has a broadway produced dance number that runs for 2 minutes.

and, if you understand how advertising is bought and sold, that's about 67% of the revenue.

Number seems low to me. Seems like you only EVER see their ads any time you watch ANY station. I can't stand to see a television on anymore.

I think MSNBC would likely fold if Congress banned Big Pharma advertising, let's hope it happens.

Fox News is no better.
It’s because old people watch all day.

Now do Fox.

In 2024, pharmaceutical companies spent $5.15 billion on TV ads, with nearly half (48%) of household TV ad impressions for prescription drug brands split across major networks like ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, ION, MSNBC, and NBC. Fox News was specifically noted as one of the top networks for these ads.

The entire MSNBC audience is on anti-depressants.

It would likely spell the end to several outlier news and novelty channels

Most companies don't want the stigma of advertising on Fox
