I went to HS in Richmond Hill so I know Ft Stewart well. They have had to deal with their fair share of tragedy like a helicopter crashing in a training incident not so long ago killing all on board.

I pray this isn’t that bad

It actually is I’d think. For personal firearms

I’d have a gun in my car unless I was going onto base back in the day

So unless the shooter went to the range for his targets they are defenseless on the roads / admin buildings

There are virtually no places in the country that have more “good guys with a gun” than US military bases.

Early reports on X (to be taken with a huge grain of salt) are five dead.

Someone is goofy enough to believe everyone on base has a pistol on their hip and a rifle on their back.

Leftists should just keep quiet about shite they have no idea about.

Actually I was not allowed to bring my personal weapon on any base I’ve been on.

Start shooting out in town I’d have it, on base I would not.

There are places he could have gone that would be a bad idea, like the armory or the range. But a base is essentially a small town with admin buildings and stores, and it is gun free unless conducting training requiring a weapon

Your assigned weapon is locked up, you don't have access to it all.

If you live in the barracks, the guns are locked up as well.

If you're married and live on base, you can keep it at your house depending on where you're stationed.

Very rarely do you see weapons on base. When you do they wouldn't have ammo in most cases.

Leftists know everything just ask them.

This a DC liberal talking about guns on a base.

Keep that in mind.

The longer there is no disclosure on any info at all about the shooter, who will be dead by time this is over which it very well could be already, its more likely the religion of peace was the culprit or a black soldier mad he didnt get promoted or something

A Walmart in Texas has a lot more good guys with guns than the PX on a base

Short of active live fire exercises or a range day, this is entirely wrong. Vast majority (90%+) of soldiers are not armed on a given daily basis. The army frowns on soldiers walking around with weapons without a given purpose daily.

Yep. Main Street in Logan, Ut likely has more guns easily accessible than many bases.
