Foam insulation feasibility on 20-yr-old home

Just wondering if it would benefit me to look at re-insulating my home with spray foam at this point. My builder went with paper pulp originally and I've noticed that in the attic it has settled somewhat, but not sure how feasible or possible it would be to use foam over what's currently there. I imagine it would only be possible in the attic as well since the walls are closed in. Any thoughts on possibility and expense if possible.

I would just have some additional insulation blown in if needed.
Some companies will vacuum out the old paper type and then blow in fiberglass if you want to go that way.

I've read some horror stories on that foam insulation. I'd just pay someone to remove existing insulation and replace it with new, more efficient insulation instead. Fix what's broken, don't break more stuff.

My house was built in 1961. I had it spray foamed in 2014. They took out all existing batting and foamed the roof deck and sealed the soffits.

settling is good. it increases the R-value of cellulose. You only need to redo things if you have gaps in insulation. If you need more, just get more blown cellulose. It is a great attic insulation.

Spray foam is fantastic, but I would not spray it over existing insulation.

We just had a company blow about a foot of T-A-P insulation on top of old blown in fiberglass in the attic. Made an immediate difference. Don’t overthink it. If the old stuff has settled, add some more.

I had the old fiberglass insulation all sucked out and attic insulated with foam insulation Cost was more but it's been well worth it.
