In Clemson's 10-4 2024 Season, only two of those wins were against teams with a winning record. Pitt (24 - 20) and SMU (34 - 31)

So you pick a loss to a team with a winning record to prove your point? LOL The stupidity is amazing.

And it will mean absolutely nothing come Aug 30th. It doesnt matter how good or bad Clemson was last year or how good or bad they will be this year.

The opening game of the season on the road at night in that environment is going to be really difficult. Its like people keep trying to down play Clemson as the reason LSU will win. LSU may well end up being the better team when the season is all said and done. Doesn't mean they're going to beat them week 1. They were better than USC last season but lost to them week 1.

Facts are fun always on the Rant but they never seem to be taken seriously. They(facts) seem to spoil the narrative of the masses on here.

LSU also added 18 players via the transfer portal. Clemson added 3. LSU is a VASTLY different team than they were a year ago.

Out of LSU's nine wins last year, only three teams finished with losing records: Nicholls, UCLA, and Oklahoma. However, they lost terrible games to Florida, Alabama, and Texas A & M. The Alabama game was one of the worst performances I've ever witnessed by an LSU team in Tiger Stadium in my 50-plus years of attending home games. Atrocious.

I'm watching highlights of last year's Ole Miss game. Kyren Lacy

That’s still a winning record.

Are we playing 2024 Clemson or 2025?
Teams can and do improve from 1 year to the next.

Clemson 2024: 36th SOS - 10-4

LSU 2024: 10th SOS - 9-4

Really interesting to see it laid out like that after an offseason that has felt like Clemson has more momentum coming off of last season than LSU does. Clemson had by most accounts a down year in 2024 and then saved it with 1 big performance against SMU (who ended up getting absolutely crushed in the playoffs).

ETA: Just went back to their game against Piit, and I didn't realize Holstein got injured the week prior. That was their backup's 1st start - they went 0-5 without Holstein. It wasn't a terribly impressive win in the first place, but with that in mind, it's actually very embarrassing that they needed a last minute TD and nearly surrendered a TD at the horn that would have lost them that game.
