CFG came and went this past weekend. Jayson Hopper and Tia Toomey won.

You did have a bunch of top guys who normally push for podium spots decide not to compete this year. No idea if that led to his victory, but those guys are 5-6 years older, so maybe not much.

Hopper’s main coach is in Baton Rouge (he’s a Brute Strength Coach) and he programs the top CF Gym in the area.

Tia dominated again. She will win until she decides to retire. This is 8 of the last 9 with her winning and the other was her missed year to just having a kid. She dominated again with a 182 point victory and she pretty much just did Hyrox shite over the last year.

My thoughts are that CF is dying.... ever since Glassman was forced to sell, the new leadership just doesn't appear to have a clue on how to market CF. They keep losing relevance year and year. Maybe it was never going to sustain what it was...

If a person is truly wanting to get fit, they will have a hard time finding something better than CF to accomplish that. Dollar for dollar, I've never found anything better that has gotten me to where I wanna be at on all of my muscle groups and my cardio stamina.

It seems that people like to focus a lot on CrossFit from a corporate level vs. the affiliates. The local affiliates, programming, and what is ultimately accomplished by being an active part of the CF community is what I'm worried about.

I hate to sound like a CF mouth piece, but I truly believe in the process and the results that you can get from it.

In my mind, the old Froning days are glory days, when people had more energy and hope for the future.

Probably just that I’m 45 and not 35. And 2020-2025 pretty much sucked.

Bouncing around from main sponsor to main sponsor has hurt them since the big Reebok contract ended.

No Bull for a few years
Go Ruck for a year
Velites this year

I heard the Velites shoes are terrible.

He’s strong AF but he doesn’t have the long levers to pull big numbers in snatch and clean to compete with the top guys.

I met him at Wodapalooza a few years ago. A very humble good dude.
