I’m also curious about this. I’m a big fan of Saffron.

I have a friend who's been and said it was fantastic. I definitely want to go as well.

Killer. Might be the best restaurant I have been to in the city. Ever.
Service is the closest thing to a Michelin starred restaurant I have ever had in the city. Nothing else is close.
When we went they only had a tasting menu available to us so couldn't really venture into a la carte.
Salt baked shrimp were the highlight for me. Really good lamb dish, forget the name. And a tuna tartare type dish with a sauce that brought some Thai notes.
It says asian or Singapore, but I would say 3/4 of the dishes didnt lean towards asian per se and were just really well done.

Interesting. The menu looks good. Also my favorite pie is Key Lime and i usually enjoy it when it's done in fine dining.

So my SO and 2 friends went last night. Place was beautiful. Service was impeccable. One of the few places that exist where they get the whole staff to serve every patron at the same moment like Commander's.
The soup was outstanding. SO got the tuna and it was good, but not soup good.
I got the lamb 2nd course. It was ok.
Snapper was ok, I enjoyed it, didn't love it. My redfish en papillote the night before was better. My SO thought it was too salty.
I didn't care for the desserts. I'd definitely go back when the next seasonal menu comes out, but I wish the 3 courses after the soup wowed me like the soup.

I remember the soup being really excellent as well, but I couldn't remember the exact dish. Crab and brie maybe? Know it has seafood in there

They did the soup during covid to go at saffron and my wife was in love with it. She was so mad that they never brought it back to Saffron.
She was not in love with it enough to spend 300ish dollars though

Looks fantastic. How does the menu work? Is it a set price?

Set price, multiple dishes to choose from for each course.
Seems like a la carte options were being considered, but maybe that was just a misread on my part

I went last week, and it was wonderful.
The soup is an absolute must.
I got the lamb and liked it a lot, abut maybe my least favorite thing if I had to pick.
Then, I got the steak, and it was amazing.
I finished it off with the chocolate cake.
I can't imagine anyone not loving it.
