Some of us have been saying this for years, good to see reality settling in to DC

Most farm workers are on work visas, so they aren't illegal. They pay taxes, go home to their countries and then come back to work.

This is bad. They are here illegally and we should enforce the law. If we really need immigrant labor to harvest crops, Congress should get off their asses and pass an immigration law that provides for guest worker status for farm labor.

The workers in the migrant worker visa program were never "illegal." None of them should have ever been deported (if any ever were).

What is being proposed here is allowing the workers who are not in the seasonal worker visa program to remain even though they are undocumented, and in waiving the prohibition on deported person re-entering under a different status.

US law provides that persons deported from the US have an automatic ban against re-entry, typically for 5 or 10 years, depending on how long they were here. Trump is proposing waiving the ban for deported persons who are seeking to reenter to work on a farm. I'm not sure how Trump can do that unilaterally since the ban on re-entry is in the law and is automatic.

But however you slice it, Trump is proposing no border restrictions for farm workers.

You want to slow down the economy and increase prices over some paperwork?

We know who these guys are. Everybody's in on it.

Most farm hands could be replaced with machinery when the price is right. We're probably close to that point.

Yeah, but if MAGA feels like it’s Trump’s idea then it makes more sense and can be supported.

Wrong. Obama admin counted those turned away at the border as deportations. Don’t be a useful idiot.

I keep seeing people say this, but they haven't stopped deporting illegal aliens from literally any segment of the country yet.

Simpleton response from an ignorant dolt. How much revenue do you think the estate tax you want generates. Do a modicum of research before making a fool of yourself again…..slick.
