Really needed to expand one more round to get LSU on that 136 team bubble.

For now. I’d be shocked if it doesn’t happen in the next few years.

A rare case of sanity winning the day.

if you expand ncaa tourney, it will probably mean the end to conference tourneys
maybe you can add a game or two to conf schedules during regular season instead

holy shite

The governing body/powers that be voted AGAINST something that would make more money? I'm absolutely shocked.

The NCAA Tournament accounts for 70% of the NCAA's ENTIRE annual revenue stream. With major conf. football breaking further and further away from the NCAA and the NCAA desperate for money, they are looking for anyway possible to generate more from their only real "cash cow". Expansion has literally nothing to do with inclusion of more teams for competitive purposes. That's why this topic won't go away. The current contract runs through 2032. That's why there is no absolutely pressing need to expand....yet.

The NCAA is going to eventually dilute its only truly great event...unless basketball and football largely break away from the NCAA
