I've got a metal roof covering my back porch. Seeing some signs of a leak on the sheetrock ceiling of porch. What's best product to patch or seal if i find a leak?

Depending how old it is, it could be something as simple as a screw has backed out over time. I would climb up there and re-tighten every screw.
If sealant is required for something, I've always used NP-1.

The downside of metal is that the gasket heads on the screws start deteriorating and leaking at around 10 years of age, a little water here, a little water there. So little that most times people don't even notice, then a little rot here and a little rot there over a long period of time, then bam, strong winds come through and your roof is gone.

Use standing seam next time

tighten all your loose screws and hit the head of each screw with a shot of clear flex seal from a spray can. Will buy you another ten years

In Australia and New Zealand, you'll get run off a jobsite if you stick a screw in a flat. Blows their mind we don't put them in the ridges. Over here you'll fail the metal manu's warranty requirements if you DON'T put them in the flats. Of course, in 10 years if you go tell the metal manu that your screws are failing, they'll might help you so far as give you the number of the screw maker.

Standing seam or the exposed fastener type?
Fwiw, signs of water intrusion typically show downstream from where the problem spot actually is. Could be off of the metal portion.
