Complaint with casino

First off yes I know gambling is trashy but I need some outside perspective. I was in a casino in Vicksburg Mississippi. I paid in at the roulette table for a couple hundred and told the dealer I wanted outside $5 chips. He gave me inside pieces and said their would count as $5. I won a little bit then walked away for about an hour to see the band in the bar about 100 yards away from the table. I didn’t think to color up. When I came back they would only give me dollars for my chips even though they were $5 a piece. The pit boss or whatever flunky was there checked and they said it was policy since somebody else started playing with the same color. I know I should have colored up but they even rolled back the cameras and saw what I bought in for but still wouldn’t honor it. Do I have a legitimate grievance or did i screw myself walking off without coloring up. It’s not the money just the issue itself that has me ticked off

I’m guess you are right just seems petty for the casino to steal the money from me on a technicality when they could just wait for me to lose it lol

Yeah kind of how I feel. It’s just a couple hundred dollars so not a huge deal but I guess I just wanted to know if I was in the wrong or not. It’s not enough money to really care but I tend to be argumentative lol.

Well, you can file a complaint/dispute with the Mississippi Gaming Commission. They have a link to the form used to do that on their website.
Now be aware that there is going to be an investigation, so you are probably gonna be having several meetings as a result. Also be aware that they can refuse entry to anyone for any reason, so whether you win or lose, you are probably gonna be banned for life from that casino of you file a complaint on them.
Finally, if you decide to file the dispute, do it quickly so their security camera system doesn’t overwrite the recording.

Never played table games enough to know what any of that means.
If I do get the urge to play table games, I would play the virtual ones like bubble craps, especially Crapless Craps. But Crapless Craps is now on tables too, just like other variations of blackjack. I even saw a YouTube video of War as a table card game. I would say what’s next to separate you from your money, but they already have pick a number with the Big Six wheel and Rock Paper Scissors as a video slot machine at some casinos.
Then there is always PaiGow Poker:
If I do get the urge to play table games, I would play the virtual ones like bubble craps, especially Crapless Craps. But Crapless Craps is now on tables too, just like other variations of blackjack.
