I'm playing Darksiders 3 right and I don't really like it. It's basically Bloodborne lite. Very different from the first two, which were a lot of fun.

The first one was great. Second one was decent. Third one was a letdown.
Hope they can recapture the spark of the first one.

I'm in the middle of a series replay right now. Beat 1 recently and am maybe 15% into the 2nd one so far and I agree with your assessment. Although, I will say that I liked 3 more than I thought I would when I first played it, I'll see how I feel after my 2nd run through in the next month or so.
I'm excited to see they are making the 4th but also leery based on the quality decline over the first 3. I'll be following this one.

2 and 3 were trash compared to the first but I’m still gonna play this to finally see the continuation of the story

I don't understand all this hate for 2. I thought it was great. Way better than the first.

Only one I've played was 3 and I thought it was decent. Wasn't a masterpiece but was a fun game. I can't compare it to the first 2 because I never played them. Only played 3 because I think it was a free monthly psn game at one point.

I don't understand the hate for 2 either. I would disagree with you on 2 being better than 1 but 2 is a good game. There was a quality decline though.
One of the things I dislike most about 2 is the sheer amount of gear and weapons that drop from enemies. It's too much. I also prefer War over Death as a character, even though I like Death.

Games with loot management as a foundational mechanic are miserable
I'm fricking Death, a horseman of the apocalypse. I'd rather find shards and materials to upgrade my scythe, not 45 shitty swords with minor stat differences that I have to sift through

This was in the game. I forgot what they were called, but the highest weapon class could be upgraded by sacrificing weaker weapons to it. That was the whole point of there being so many weapon drops.

Holy crap, a new "The Guild" game that says it will be going back to the original Europa 1400 - The Guild game? I'm more excited for that now than Darksiders IV.
