Kelly HAS to have this.

Yes, we are still alive if he drops it but the fanbase will incensed.

He has to have this one.

You can’t drop 6 openers in a row.

Dude has to be a little puckered here.

I get it and agree, but all 6 wouldn't have been on him.

Not even sure you can put his 1st year on him fully.

No doubt Oregon was big.

But he has to have this one.

Has to happen.

The crazy thing is if you lose the opener and can even lose another game and still make the playoffs. It is not the BCS era anymore that a season opener can cost you the rest of the season.

If we show up and look like we have for the last few openers, unprepared, players out of position, generally clueless, I think it's the beginning of the end for Kelly. This is the biggest game of his tenure at LSU. He has the personnel, he has his coaching staff, he's got a veteran QB. I don't even think we have to win the game to have a chance at the playoffs, but we can't have another table slamming game where we look like shite.

All odds stacked against LSU.

home teams wins. Clemson has to shite the bed to lose. Clemson has everything in their favor.

How are you gonna feel if we drop it?

Yes everything is still in play but how will your outlook change if we lose it?

I was born in 82, been watching em since I was 5.

I feel like this is one of the biggest openers we have ever had.

I can’t disagree here.

Hence the pressure cooker of this game.

not really. Ever since 2020 college football has become less and less popular all around the country. I don't pay attention to it much and I was the biggest college football fan my entire life

The only thing Kelly HAS to have is a playoff berth. A first week loss would be completely forgotten.

Yet here you are nearly 200 posts in after joining a month ago. Just because a few people say they don't pay attention anymore doesn't make it less and less popular for the masses

If we lose the game there's still a good chance to make the playoffs. If there was no playoffs it would be a very big game and I would agree with you!

This makes no sense but I feel like LSU is going to win because EVERYONE is expecting them to lose. Im pretty sure LSU has been favored in every season opener for the past 6 years. Most of these games were very close. IMO the pendulum swings for the Tigers this year.
