Cassidy launches Senate reelection bid- While holding on to Trump's coattails again!

Cassidy has looked to make amends with President Trump after he became one of seven GOP senators to vote to convict the president in his 2021 Senate impeachment trial after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
The two-term GOP senator has since tried to repair his relationship with the president, including backing some of Trump’s more controversial nominees, such as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his confirmation vote earlier this year.
More recently, Cassidy made several posts on X touting a White House health and tech event Wednesday, including one with a selfie of him at the event.
“Had a front row seat at yesterday’s Health Tech event at the White House. Let’s Make America Healthy Again!” Cassidy wrote.

Fake news.
Election Day falls on a Tuesday. November 3rd this year is a Monday.

I completely agree. We need a viable and able candidate to oppose him though

I really hope I get the opportunity to vote against him. But I won't vote for a Dem directly or indirectly.
Are there any official primary challengers?

Someone could make millions inventing a punching bag that has this turncoat clown's face on the bag. Would be better than Ozempic, everyone would be fit and in shape.

Perplexity says....
It is currently uncertain whether Donald Trump will endorse Bill Cassidy again in the upcoming 2026 GOP primary. Cassidy faces significant political challenges primarily because he voted to convict Trump during the 2021 impeachment trial tied to January 6, and some Trump loyalists view this as betrayal. Despite attempts by Cassidy to align with Trump on some issues, including eventually supporting Trump's nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for health secretary, many Republicans in Louisiana remain skeptical of Cassidy's loyalty to Trump.
Trump has criticized Cassidy in the past, calling him a "disloyal lightweight" in 2024, and the Louisiana GOP has censured Cassidy. Multiple Republican challengers to Cassidy are emerging, with some closely connected to the Trump wing. Trump has not made a clear public endorsement of Cassidy for 2026, and some potential challengers are seeking or awaiting Trump's backing to decide their own runs. While Trump once thanked Cassidy at an event, his current stance on endorsing Cassidy again remains unclear amid the political tensions within the Louisiana GOP.
In summary, Bill Cassidy's relationship with Donald Trump is strained, and Trump's endorsement for Cassidy's potential 2026 Senate run is not guaranteed and may depend on how Cassidy navigates the influence of pro-Trump voters in the primary

From March, 2020, you dolt. You know, BEFORE Cassidy showed his true colors?
Nice attempt at obscuring the date though. Just not nice enough.
