As you guys saw he is now FONG’d to LSU.

I have a little bit of info on how it went down.

So up until yesterday’s Tank Jones commitment the word on the street was Oregon. However, mid day yesterday LSU upped their NIL offer to Deuce Geralds to test Oregons willingness to match/ or go above and beyond. Oregon did not counter strong enough.

I am told this decision came down purely to the NIL offer.

No offense but there's zero chance anyone makes me believe we out bid oregon. No chance brother. I do believe you when you say the other guy committing helped us. It's also one of those things you scratch your head about tho. He afraid of competition? Still pumped he's choosing us tho. This class might only have 20 guys but 70% of them are blue chip recruits. Elite job by the entire staff.

LSU has came so far regarding these last minute bidding wars for elite talent. Makes you want to tear up a bit.

This doesn't give me the best feeling...Glad he's a tiger, hopefully we can hang on to him for a few months.

Get used to it. Majority let NIL drive their decision as you likely would if you were a top 100 player. It’s life changing money, put the emotions on why they chose LSU on the backburner.

The dude was posting this morning that LSU upped the offer way before anyone else had anything on it. Majority of this morning everyone started leaning to Oregon and he was the only one who said LSU was holding strong

Plus Lester is one of the dumbest posters on TD so frick you

Love your post Philly. Always a fan when you bring the good news. I just don't see oregon ever being too "broke" or worried about overspending on a guy if they really want him. NIL is the reason they'll always be a contender. They can buy a team every season. Them OSU Penn State, those teams will "recruit" well from now on.

wingy, we had to beg you to attribute credit with your own posts. It's pretty easy to credit the source. It's loser behavior to pass it as your own

It's like you literally skipped over the fact that Oregon chose NOT TO "overpay" for him.

Philly stated earlier that other teams don't like his size too well so they weren't willing to go all out. However Kyle Williams loves him, and LSU had a 6'1 barely 300lb guy perfom well for us the first 2 years with BK in Mehki Wingo.

Again, are you slow? Afraid of competition?

LSU already has the #1 and #2 DL in the country ACCORDING TO THE DAMN COMPOSITE!!!!!!

We are building the OL and DL like the damn UGA and Bama lines have been.
