I had a convo with a former player (not a big name) that was on the team with Brandon Harris. He said that Mett came back to watch film with them one week and they were going through the plays and he was critiquing the QB play. He said Brandon Harris made a lot of mistakes so he took a good bit of the criticism and instruction. On the white board in the meeting room they had the team captains for the coin flip listed and Brandon Harris was a captain that week. As they were leaving Mett said “Hey Brandon, you’re doing the coin flip this week? Try not frick that up too!”

I know, CSB. I thought it was funny and showed Mett’s personality.

Or it just showed literally everyone could see B Harris struggling.

I don’t know that it qualifies as personality.

Not really, but it certainly sounds believable. Almost makes me feel bad for BH having to listen to that & Cam Cameron… just almost though. Then I remember he’s a longhorn now

Highly rated player who turned out to be an absolute dud. He was supposed to be the answer after Jennings failed. The end of the Miles era had begun in earnest with Harris.

We'd have a national title in 2013 with Mett but that defense was horrific. At the point one of the worst I've seen. Now 2020 and 2023 give them a massive run for their money

Mett would slide into so many girls DMs back in the day before “sliding into DMs” was a thing.

Dude was a man whore and not the smartest cookie.

He did get kicked off the team at his dream school for grabbing a girl’s honkers, so this isn’t surprising in the least

Dunking on your starting qb when he’s going through the ringer isn’t a great look

Yeah but tell me thats not exactly how you would picture Mett being. Taylor Lewan said that one game Mariota got hurt and Mett got to the huddle and said "Watch Daddy spin it!" and then immediately threw a pick.

And I still believe that the championship 2012 game could have possibly had a different ending had coach Miles put Mett in the entire second half and air it out just like Rohan Davy and Josh Reed did

Around 2014 Mett showed up in tiger land one night. I was waiting at the bar for a drink and he walked up and started waiting next to me.

It was 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, Zach Mettenberger. I go "are you Zach Mettenberger" and he just responds "no." I then respond "you are definitely Zach Mettenberger" and he again just goes "no I'm not."

Then one of my friends walked up and took a selfie with him and Mett grabbed his phone and threw it across the bar

We were in tiger land it wasn't like Mett was trying to remain conspicuous

Lewan said he knew it was Mett before he got in the huddle because he could smell the Copenhagen from the sideline.

Brandon Harris has both himself and Les Miles/Offensive Staff to blame for his struggles. Regardless, he loathes LSU.

He had coaches that were just recently beginning to get acclimated to the forward pass.
Understandably, Les was traumatized by prior QB play, but that's still on him.

If I came across a celebrity or someone well-known in public and I asked them if they were who I knew they were and they said, "no," that would be my sign that they do not want to deal with bullshite at that time. Nodding and going about your business should've been your response to that - not prodding even further.

That was the least creepy thing he did while at LSU

I was a drunk 20 year old. Mett was a drunk 25 year old. We were at the fricking house in tiger land. It's not that serious.
