2007 UF game was a crazy day on campus. 2012 Bama was insane as well. Both being legit night games really helped. Those are my two standouts

I grew up tailgating between the Indian Mounds or “The Cleavage” as my dad and his friends called it. Campus used to be really great before LSU had to go and monetize it. I also miss being able to tailgate on Nicholson.

I remember 2007 Virginia Tech being a fun opener. I think Brooks and Dunn played on the parade grounds. Bama 2010 was a big weekend.

2012 bama was crazy. Absolute mayhem the entire day and into the game. Sucks that LSU couldn’t hang on.

2012 Bama isn’t remembered as being a great day in program history because we lost, but the 2nd half atmosphere, until the Yeldon TD, was as good as anything I’ve ever witnessed in that stadium. I believe that’s the game that SVP still talks about as the greatest sports environment he’s ever been to.

2007 Virginia Tech game was crazy as well.

First home game of the season with an unusually late night kickoff for TV. Folks started drinking early and often.

2012 Bama I heard somewhere there were 100,000 in the stadium and 100,000 outside the stadium. Context matters here. We had just came off a season where we beat them, then felt we shouldn't play them in the Nati, then lost to them in the Nati. This was a huge revenge game. I remember the Goodyear Blimp was at the game. I had never been so mad after a football game than 2012 Bama.

It would have to be a game before they started charging to park or even drive on campus. That was when people used to show up just to tailgate all day without going to the game. And before all the restrictive rules were in place.

2016 Bama was my peak game. I accidentally poured a beer on my self while taking a picture of my son with Michael Andretti…

2012 bama was by far best environment in and out the stadium in Baton Rouge.
Sucks we blew it. But I been to all of the big ones. 2012 stands alone. It was revenge mayhem in that stadium and 2nd half was deafening.
