Could this be the best position groups next to the receiver room in 2025? There’s veteran talent, freakish athletes and some extremely talented freshman. The depth seems to be there in the 2 deep with West Weeks and Keys. If little Weeks is as good as his brothers claim and Moses is as well, that position group could be one of the stronger groups LSU has had in a while.
What’s the general feeling about the overall depth and talent level of this group?

I think everyone is excited about the freshman Ross who's 4.4 type speed at linebacker, Kellan Moses may take a little longer than him to get on the field. you can also count the guys that play the star as lbs and if so it would include Perkins and toviano.

there's plenty of talent at linebacker and at safety that plays closer to the line of scrimmage

If Weeks and Perkins stay healthy and play to their abilities then this group is already a strength regardless of who else starts.

Could you see Weeks, Weeks and Perkins (Star) on the field at the same time or keys, Whit and Perkins or a combination thereof? Or would you expect Ross to be at one of the spots over others?

Ross won't start, hes just depth for now . he will have to earn his in game reps in camp and on special teams and then he will have to be crazy good in those reps to get in the rotation or start.

its gonna be hard for it not to be weeks ,keys, and Perkins at star.

maybe he shows something in camp to make him start over keys but I just dont know how he could do that with the way teams practice now

would be cool to see Weeks, Weeks, Weeks on the field together. Even if it was for only 1 play. Im sure it would be something they would cherish

Keys will play a bunch. I would expect Zach Weeks to get a fair amount of reps this year. He is physically ready according to everything I’ve read and it’s a matter of just adjusting to the game speed. I’m sure they will go in the portal and get a veteran linebacker if one or more of these freshmen are not ready.
Who knows, he may end up becoming a defensive end if he’s putting on the mass and continues to grow. He’s still very young. At 6’3”, 230 pounds. He’s plenty big enough to play linebacker with his speed.

Keys will play a ton when they are in the STAR. If he is behind Whit Weeks, then when they expand it’ll be a matter of him being able to play the other spot. There are lots of options, which excites me about this group.

Out of all the young cats, he will see the least I bet…he’s supposed to be a senior in Hs this upcoming year. I don’t see it happening

I was thinking the base look would be the Star, and Whit and Keys would be the ILBs

There’s a photo from the spring game where they are signing autographs and Zach looks like his arms are as big as Whit’s from that angle. He looks to be built like Whit but taller and to think he reclassified.

Ross playing the STAR would be an option to get some reps. He has the speed to cover. Not too sure about his thump though.

The linebackers were only go as far as the DL takes them. LSU's DL has been blown off the line constantly the last few years. If you can't hold at the point of contact, the LBs can't flow to the running lanes. It is no different from an OL getting pushed back into a RB's lane.

Jaiden Braker says Hello, 6-3 210lb was highly ranked and heavily recruited. Georgia tried to flip him.
