This dude needs to read a book. The biggest massacre of communists in recent history was in Indonesia. Khomeini crushed the left after using them during the Iranian Revolution.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Economic communism died off a lot in the 80s. We are seeing the social pieces of communism return across the world. Both communism and Islam like control and strict social laws.

I came to this realization a few years ago. The Left’s infatuation with Islam and open borders and multiculturalism can all be explained by simple hatred of the West. Islam is a totalitarian form of govt, not just a religion. When questioned on the totalitarianism, they fall back on freedom of religion in the US. The two are not compatible.

I can't watch the video so you'll have to summarize. But generally Islamists were always against the left primarily because both groups were recruiting from the same disaffected group of youth. Islamists were against the Arab Ba'athist parties for a long time, and you could argue that the last 25 years or so has seen Western interests align with Islamists to destroy any vestige of Arab Socialism, which the Ba'athists represented. You could even place Gaddafi in the socialist category, though he was sort of his own thing.
