The announcer was Bob Peters. He was not a homer, more of a neutral type - and pretty good at describing the amazing skills of Maravich, especially the famous run-out-the-clock dribbling clinic at Georgia.

Peters would let kids (I was in 7th grade) gather around his announcer table after the game and listen to his post-game interview with Coach Press Maravich.

Of course the highlight was getting Pistol Pete's autograph. You went in one at a time into the dressing room where it was just you and Pete. He signed "Pistol" Pete Maravich #23. Thinking back, it seemed lonely for him, but that must have been how he wanted it.

Didn't Dick Walcott announce games in Pete's last season?

This is my first ever post so wish me luck. I seem to remember an announcer named "Brad Brian" or something close to that while listening to Maravich's senior year. Anyone remember him?
