2024, Peyton threw for 4,500 yards. Most importantly of all this, he went 310 for 443 (70%). I would not be surprised at all if he were the only QB in the country in high school that threw for 70% or higher with at least 300 pass attempts. High school WR drop balls not perfectly placed, etc. That is very impressive at that level. He avg'd 10 yards per p. attempt. Then he went 38 TDs and 6 INTs. That again never happens at the high school level. Best you'll usually see is like 22 TDs and 8 INTs at the HS level. Those are Burrow type numbers or even higher through the same amount of games Peyton played. At fricking high school level.

Evangel is not playing weak teams either. Byrd, Neville, Shreve, etc. I think this kid, especially if he grows to be 6'1" or taller, will be very, very special.

I remember getting on other sites saying Jayden is the far better QB than Caleb pre-draft. I bet that he'd go #1 overall in late October. I made my reasoning, Jayden passer rating (FBS record) was 208 and LSU played a 5th-8th ranked SOS. Caleb had PR of 162, so 46 points lower, and SC played a 40th ranked SOS. Had pretty much everyone respond, no, that's not the way to do it. Then a lot said "Caleb has better mechanics." as the reason to ignore stats and strength of schedule that clearly favored Jayden by a lot. I don't think any of them knew what good mechanics at QB even are. Just if it's very odd like Tebow.

If he is 16, and summer after sophomore year. He can grow 3 more inches based on my personal experience. I was his exact height summer after sophomore year, then ended up at 6'2". Those stats man. In 5A. I think as of this moment that he may end up the best of the 2027 class.

A great and very rare opportunity in state. Elijah will dictate.

Houston was very very good last year. I can tell you, no one is throwing the ball like him in the State of La. Evangel will be much improved this year, he has some talent around him. After watching alot of prospects last year, he stood out. He and Richard Anderson.

I would take Pop right now regardless of what Haven does.

Houston should be a take, and I know for a fact he would commit if given the green light.

I watched the highlight vid in the Plater thread again, and he had some great plays against Evangel. Then I remembered the score and what happened with the other team's offense. Pop was absolutely unreal in that game.

Have watched a little of him in 7 v 7 this summer. He is throwing it better than any QB around, and it isnt especially close. And to the naked eye he looks big enough.

He played baseball against my kid and he would be a 16u kid in baseball right now.

But you’re thinking about right now vs future. Yea, Houston is a better QB. He is also 6 foot and smaller side. Haven’s upside is as high as you can put upside. Frame, athleticism, arm…just raw and needs to be molded

I don’t think LSU goes wrong with anyone we get, but I do think there is an obvious higher upside with one. Higher floor/lower ceiling vs lower floor/penthouse

And personally, I want Baby Nuss the most

I think Houston is the most ready to play in college right now. Haven is mostly upside in my opinion

I honestly feel like LSU can do no wrong here. Just get the one that wants to be a Tiger the most and lest roll on this '27 class. Or, get one to reclassify into the '26 class ams pick up one in '27 if you can.

Dillon Gabriel is 5'11". He threw for 3800 yards and 30 td's last season. Houston will be better than him.

The reclassification process is interesting. Both are at schools which can handle it without the kid having to do a wild amount of online or summer classes. Both solid young men with great families. LSU will win with either one.

He also threw for 800+ and ran for 100+ in a single game last season… thats insane!

Elijah, Payton, or lil Nuss.
I don’t think we go wrong, don’t slow play them or let them slow play LSU

Pop Houston is a great QB name. Just sounds like a great leader. (I realize his name has no actual correlation to production on the field)
