Those two are anything but mutually exclusive. I think the best leverage gained over people in DC is a combination of threats and payoffs. See Mike Johnson and ACB as two prime examples of where I think the Deep State has used both the carrot and the stick.

Leading up to the 2024 US election AIPAC raised $90M and donated $52M making it one of the biggest sources of campaign financing during that cycle.
That amount does not include individual donors like Miriam Adelson who was top 5 for that cycle as well and who openly made support of the Israeli state her #1 issue.
That’s all according to their own federal disclosures which are available publicly and which I’ve cited below.
But because AIPAC can’t influence business interests as it’s a political action committee it can’t control billionaires who don’t come as cheap as politicians when it comes to leverage anyway so other means of influence would be necessary.
I wonder how you would go about controlling people you can’t buy? Like maybe a video showing you with an underage girl committing multiple felonies?
I don’t give a **** what religion an entity practices, I don’t want anyone buying or leveraging key US politicians and I sure as hell don’t want them using teen girls to do it.
So again, buying politicians = bad
