Shooter now dead but not yet identified. That the shooter got in ?his car and ran to a nearby Baptist Church where other officers caught up to him and there, in the church, he was shot dead. Others were injured, but who and how remains unreported.

Link page 2. He knew the two women, demanded to know where the woman's other daughter was. When answered that she wasn't there, he said somebody has to die.

Knoxville TV news at 6pm said three dead, but precious little information beyond the numbers.

Lexington Police Department Chief Lawrence Weathers said the spree started just before noon when a state trooper pulled the suspect over for a license plate reader alert. The suspect opened fire, injuring the trooper. It happened on Terminal Drive just outside Blue Grass Airport, but was unrelated to the airport.

…After shooting the trooper, the suspect took off and carjacked a vehicle, Weathers said. No one was hurt in the carjacking.

Police then utilized the department’s Air Support Unit and Real-Time Intelligence Center to track the suspect to Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington.

The gunman opened fire on church property, killing two women and wounding two men. The two women fatally shot were identified by authorities as Beverly Gumm, 72, and Christina Combs, 32. One man was said to be in critical condition, while the other was in stable condition.

Weathers said police believe the suspect may have had a connection to the church, but the investigation is still ongoing.

"The suspect was shot by responding law enforcement and was pronounced deceased at the scene," Weathers added. "Three Lexington police officers fired their service weapons in accordance with the Lexington Police Department's policies."

Apparently the trooper received aid from bystanders which helped his condition to keep from being worse.

ABC News just said the shooter knew his victims.

quote:

Officials said they believe that the suspect had a connection to individuals at the church. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

An official briefed on the investigation told ABC News that the suspect had a history of mental health, drug and anger issues. He had had a domestic situation with an ex-girlfriend who then filed protection orders against him, the official said.

Ginn said he had not yet notified the gunman's family of his death so he cannot yet release his identity, which he said is known to police.

Does this mean he was underage?

How do we know literally everything about this except any identifying information about the shooter?

No, just means they don't want the family to find out from the news. Standard practice to wait until the family is notified.

It’s being withheld until his family is told that he’s dead.

Whole lot of people wishing him RIP on his Facebook, which seems odd in this scenario, but yeah he seems like a strange cat.

Doesn’t seem like it was his first time to flee from police or attack the police.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man is in custody after a 5-hour manhunt Sunday afternoon.

Guy House was arrested and charged with 1st degree fleeing and evading, resisting arrest, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according to Lexington police.

Any additional charges listed on the jail website are from outstanding warrants.

Lexington police said officers observed a man with known warrants shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday near Ramada Inn on North Broadway.

When the officers attempted to make contact with him, the man fled into a wooded area near Interstate 75 and North Broadway with a firearm.

Members of the Lexington Emergency Response Unit and Crisis Negotiations Unit responded and were able to negotiate with the individual. The man turned himself in without incident.

The suspect surrendered to police after a 5-hour manhunt.

Police told LEX 18 they will likely charge the man for felon's possession of a handgun and fleeing and evading the police. They have not yet released his name.

It took officers hours to negotiate with House. The roadway reopened just before 7 p.m.

House’s charges include possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment of a police officer. House’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for this Friday, September 16.

Comments under that video say the victims were his "bm family," meaning baby mamma's family for the uninitiated.
