Starting to plan my 10-year anniversary trip for June 2026 with the wife. Will probably be 4 nights. Looking at Cabo right now, but not locked on that for sure. I've been to Cabo numerous times but always stayed in Pedregal so no resort experiences. Would rather all-inclusive, but open to other options. Any experiences that you would recommend? Budget is 5-8K

We went to Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta for our 10 year last year. Would highly recommend. It was recommended to me by another poster on this board.

We try to avoid Mexico, but have done plenty of Caribbean all inclusive.

Hard Rock Punta Cana
Sandals Grand St. Lucian
Sandals Grand Caribbean (Montego Bay)
Secrets La Romana
Sandals Royal Barbados

Which would you recommend? Food, service, accommodations are important to us. I know food expectations at an AI should be tempered, but don't want bad food.

Depends what is most important

Hard Rock was the most "fun" with the most to do
Grand St. Lucia is the prettiest

Secrets La Romana might have the best food but all equitable.

Join the Hyatt ziva Cancun Facebook group. This resort has great food and the best staff in the hotel zone. It also has an adult only building with a pool.

We did Sandals Grenada and loved it, was a bit of a smaller Sandals resort if you wanted something a bit more relaxing.

make sure you research seaweed season at the places that you're considering.

My wife and I really enjoyed Secrets La Romana (was Hilton La Romana until recently) in October of 2023.

Edit: You don’t have to worry about seaweed at this resort.

I have my 25th coming up in november. For cabo we love pueblo bonito sunset beach.

the ocean is not accessible, but the hotel, food, drinks are exceptional.

We are not sure yet on our destination. we may try cocoplum island in belize.

We just got back from the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya (adults only), and this place was nothing short of fantastic. The dining options were great, and every restaurant was great. There were plenty of things to do, and I liked how the property was spread out. You call for a golf cart ride when you are ready for dinner, and they pick you up at your building and bring you wherever you want to go on the property. The service was fantastic on every level and was better than the 3 Sandals resorts I have been to, and Sandals was great also. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an all-inclusive. They provide transportation to and from the airport as well. Check out their website.

Excellence Oyster Bay, Jamaica

As long as you don’t want a party atmosphere.

Went late July for our 20th…. Not crowded, but enough people where you dk t feel alone. My wife likes to people watch and have some “action” around, even though we aren’t big, loud party people (if that makes sense). It was a perfect medium

Food was great, especially the club restaurants… pay the extra $300-500 for this- 2 exclusive restaurants, plus 3 exclusive beach areas

Could always find a beach chair

Drinks were super strong. As in having to tell them to go easy on the alcohol

Decent shows at night. Little things to do during day. Cooking classes, yoga, etc
Kayaks, little sailboat things, paddle boards, etc.

Just tell your driver you want some weed and he’ll hook you up. I smoked on the balcony multiple times a day

I’d go back in a heartbeat
