I just made a piece to enjoy with some leftover pasta. It’s probably been years since I had a simple piece of butter toast. Now with meals we always have fancy loaves of bread, rosemary, bread, artisan bread, etc..

Simple toasted slices of white bread buttered to perfection has to be something that I truly miss having on a regular basis from my younger days

I grew up with buttered fresh French Bread, but can certainly relate.

You are absolutely correct. It’s a dirty keto favorite of mine. I load it with tons of butter.

While growing up in Michigan we had a bread named Spatzs. Best toast I’ve ever had.

Real salted sweet cream butter.

When I was bad in the 80s I'd get sent to bed without dinner. My mom would always slip me some bread and butter. Jokes on you old man...I love that stuff
