Played the past week and they seemed to be in pretty good shape, just wanted to get the word out there, ALSO ITS HOT AS BAWLS

Next 3 months are the most miserable months of golf in La. Or the south for that matter. But it won’t stop me. I’ll just sweat and drink more booze

ChatGPT recommended the Island to me when I searched for a golfing getaway within a few hours of Lafayette that is ok for a beginner.

Does this make sense? I would also need a place to stay. I did a little searching online and Plaquemine didn’t look so great as a place to stay. Am I missing something?

It's a great course, but will be a bit tough for a high handicapper. There's quite a bit of water, but it didn't really come into play for me. Play from the appropriate tees and enjoy.

I tried to do a simple 9 hole twilight yesterday.

Walked out the door, to the car and said frick all of that.

Its 105 at 4 PM yesterday.

It’s basically a sugar cane field. Yes it’s hot as hell there.
