The Bucks are waiving and stretching his contract.
Does that mean they are responsible for his contract regardless of who he signs for?

Correct, they will be paying every penny even if he signs with someone else, unless they have offset clauses in his contract, which I doubt

Waiving that kind of $ indicates dame is not playing anytime soon - if ever.

Think they would have tried medical relief if that’s true.
The news had me thinking Giannis told Bucks I don’t want him here anymore.
Edit. Saw Giannis not happy with handling of Dame being waived. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it doesn’t say not happy he gone. Just the handling didn’t like.

He tore his Achilles as an older player.
The gamble is that he’s either done completely or will be diminished enough it closes their window with Giannis if they don’t move on immediately.

Yes, they just get to spread out his salary cap hit over the next five seasons.
