I had a dream this morning that I was running across the old river bridge at Decatur, Al.

When I got across, I woke up needing to take a piss and wasn't even breathing hard or anything. I felt pretty good and it's at least three miles including the causeway.
I wish I could dream that more often.
Do you have any simple dreams that make you feel good?

Dreams are private little movies from God meant just for us and should never be shared with others.

I didn't get any nuclear secrets or anything.

About once every 3-4 months, I have a dream about the love of my life from high school. It’s been 25 years and it still happens like clockwork. The one that got away.

I used to have the dream that I got stuck in a car with it lifted all the way up. As a child that bridge both amazed and terrified me.

ETA: Your dream would have been cooler if you jumped the gap.

I always wanted the job to sit in the little booth and let the bridge up and down.

I hated getting stuck this time of year when they lifted it. Pops had a 1978 long wheel base Silverado with two gas tanks an no AC. Seemed like it took forever for the boats to pass when it was 90°+.

Yeah, it could be pretty slow sometimes.

If that 2nd photo panned to the right a bit, they could've caught me putting in my little boat at the boat harbor!

I have jumped fully into a rabbit hole and found this history of the Keller bridge.

LINK

It is an interesting read that brought back some memories.

ETA: The original construction cost was something like $100,000. Renovation costs in the late 1980s were $500k+, and demolition cost when it was finally taken down was over a million.
