The third and final season releases this Friday, 6/27.

Finally we get a show that releases another season in a timely manner. Just 6 or so months after season 2. S2 was pretty underrated imo, though the ending was a probably too insane. Not as good as S1 but a decent follow up given you didn't have the shock value of it anymore.

Here's a short season 2 recap to read if you want to refresh your memory.

This is supposed to conclude the show right?

I almost started this thread earlier this morning. I'll definitely watch this over the weekend/next week. And I believe I saw that it's the conclusion of the story, so if that's true at least we won't have to deal with any cliffhangers again.

Eh. It's really just season 2 split into 2 sections (one 7 episodes and one 6).

Netflix has been doing that with a lot of their content lately. They have even come out and said that they intentionally split seasons so they can maintain audience engagement as opposed to people bingeing and then being done with it.

I know, I think they even filmed it at the same time as season 2. But I mean, it's still technically season 3 and they easily could have drug it out and waited to release it a year or more after season 3. Just kind of refreshing especially when you compare it to something like Stranger Things or House of the Dragon.

I don’t think there is enough money in the world to get the creator to make more. Every quote I read from him about making the show makes it sound like Netflix tortured him in Guantanamo until he finished it. He hates it.

I'm in. Unfortunately won't get to start Friday because I'll be driving out of town and Saturday I'm going to watch the UFC fight. Might get an episode in Friday. I'm pumped for it though.

I just looked up to try and see what games are going to be played but every article I saw had spoilers so I didn't read them.

I love this show but one thing bothers me so much and that is continuing when they are deep into it and everybody could leave with a large amount of money. Something like 300-400k each. It makes no sense but I guess greed makes it possible.

Game 4 is Hide and Seek
Game 5 is Jump Rope
Game 6 is Unknown

Game 4, Red team must kill members of the Blue Team in order to pass to the next round. Once you kill someone you pass. They are given a knife. If they do not kill anyone they die. Red team can't kill Red team members.

Blue Team must hide but are given keys to unlock doors throughout the maze. If you're able to secure three different keys (each blue member is given ONE) then you can unlock the safe room and pass. Or they can survive 30 minutes inside the maze. You can kill members of either team.

In Jumprope you have to cross the bridge like in Glass Bridge but also follow steps to the song. Touching the ground, jumping on one foot. Once you completed that task you can exit the other side. The rope gets faster as the timer completes.

Two episodes left… it’s ok. 1,2,3 is order if I had to rank seasons right now.

Spoilers:

The whole baby having to play angle is fricking stupid.

If you look at the walls in the main bedroom area you can see the games that they’ll play. I’m assuming the last game involves monkey bars

I’m part way into episode 4. Holy shite, these VIP scenes almost ruin an otherwise good show.

It’s like the creator/writer learned nothing from the criticisms of season 1. I get that it’s supposed to be some sort of “commentary” on the elites of the world but the acting and dialogue are atrocious.

Spoilers:

The old lady was begging her son to kill her so he could live but when he decided to kill the other woman and save them both, his mom kills him to protect a stranger. I know they had to close their story somehow but that was pretty dumb.

There's no monkey bars in S3. The director said this multiple times in the months leading up to it.

The words in Latin are written behind the beds "Me Today, you tomorrow. And there's a graveyard with crosses.

It's also a crime to kill a pregnant woman on film in Korea so it was weird

I’m wondering if it has to do with the fact that it’s a Korean show. When you watch Korean acting it seems like their general style is a lot more flamboyant (for lack of a better word) than western acting. It’s not as noticeable since they aren’t speaking English, so you don’t really have a frame of reference.

But then when similar dialogue occurs between the English-speakers, it jumps out at you because it’s very different from what we would expect.

Yeah the English speaking actors are absolutely horrible. It almost sounds like AI
