Thought I noticed this at the games, but heres some confirmation. They played an instrumental version omitting the words

Everything that has breath, praise the Lord
Worship Christ with the best of your portions
I know I won't forget all He's done
He's the strength in this race that I run

This is terrible.

Props to the kid for not making it about him self and making it a big deal.

The NCAA should do better and they should have to release a statement on this.

Everyone should go question them on this.

Satanic songs are allowed. I’m sure a Muslim song would be allowed.

Interesting. Not sure what their gripe is/was, but it's also just a walkup song. I'm sure Curiel wasn't too bothered by it.

Curious to know if it was the lyrics or Kanye being the artist

Like you said, props to Curiel for not letting it bother him & keeping his focus on what was important

So, we live in a country where your religious first amendment rights have to be checked at the gate? Got it.

Of course they didn't...

I don't even want to comment. This makes me mad, and I'm not Christian.

Nah I doubt it. I'm sure they would have had zero issue with anyone choosing any other of Kanye's big hits

It has everything to do with the lyrics

It sounded like they played the same song, but just the intro part without lyrics.

Still bullshite bc they clipped others songs

Wow I'll be the first to say I don't like the song. But the fact that you can have songs that mention all kinds of lewd shite and criminal activity but not one about Jesus sure is something.

It irks me how you have the right to be offended by Jesus but not the right to be offended by gay shite.

Mates it has everything to do with the artist

Kanye sampled it from some dude named James Cleveland and they just played the instrumentals as to not play a Kanye song.

That was my first question as well. Doucet asked him about it and will put out more information on it. But I think he confirmed it was the lyrics.
