Jekyll/Hyde was my experience with him while following the Brewers

I mean yea, he had a 13-year major league career.

Barry, that era of Southern Jags baseball was crazy. Fred Lewis and Michael Woods were first round picks too. Roger Cador

In 2008, he had the lowest fielding percentage (.975) and the most errors (15) of all NL second basemen. On offense, however, Weeks scored 46.6% of the time he reached base, second-best in the NL.
Yup, this was Rickie Weeks

He came out of nowhere. Cador had a famous quote about Weeks that when he met him on a recruiting trip and shook his hand, his grip strength was comparable to Hank Aaron's.

Southern was a 3 seed in the 2003 NCAA tournament. Unheard of for a SWAC team.

that's absolutely insane for a SWAC team too

Rickie is probably remembered a lot more fondly if the NL had the DH.
I loved watching him growing up. Dude could smack the shite out of a ball

I liked the way the late, great Bob Uecker squeaked / bellowed his name in big moments.
"RICKYWEEEEKS.... gives THAT one a ride!"

And won their first game of the regional

Always rooted for that guy. He was a good one. I used to trade him to the Cubs in MLB The Show as my 2nd baseman.

He hit .500 over 2 years because he went to Southern. He was still a badass in college though

in today's world, Rickie would've become a Tiger through NIL
That would've been fun.

Probably a Hurricane or a Seminole as he was a central Florida guy.

Coach Cador had a ridiculous network of pro scouts built up especially but not exclusive to the black baseball community. They would call him, he would offer what he could and stars would show up.
