How is this place? Wife’s birthday this weekend and was thinking maybe here since we both love sushi but are always disappointed in prairieville. Our favorite is Yama but want a little more upscale

It is very good, but I recommend Umami on Burbank.

Very mid, especially if you like nigiri. The fried rice I got (exclusive to this location) was so trash, probably the only time in my life I haven't finished a side of fried rice.

Go to Umami instead. If you do go to Tsunami, the Black & Gold roll is quite good

It's fine if you live over there.

This. Living basically around the corner from it for happy hour is great.

It's nothing to go out of your way for (as others have said, go to Umami), but it's definitely good to have on this side of town.

Tsunami Bluebonnet & Perkins is nicely upscale. Rather than focus just on sushi there is a long list of house specialties, chef specialties and entrees. Some work, some don't. Early evening seems to be popular for afterwork office gatherings which can get a bit loud.

he said upscale. The food is definitely better, but Umami isn't upscale.

I like it. Ambience is nicer than you would expect and his an upscale feel - like you went somewhere for a night you..not just to eat. Agree wtih food comments that some things are hit or miss… I love the Big Easy roll. Cocktails are usually good. Recommend if you are leaning towards a night out versus just food

Didn't care for it.
The rice was dry which ruined every roll.

Just head further up bluebonnet to that sushi restaurant at the old Cadillac cafe..

Or umami.. that place is awesome
