6/23/17 Babe Ruth got credit for a no hitter without throwing a strike. Ruth and his catcher were ejected after Ruth punched the umpire after walking the fist batter on 4 pitches.

Ernie Shore replaced retire all 26 batters he face, the runner that Ruth walked was caught stealing

Some baseball fans claim that he was thrown out too early

So he lost out on a perfect game because he didn't start and Ruth walked 1? Or did someone else get on base too during that game and they got them out?

It was ruled a combined no hitter and not a perfect game because of the walk. But yes, the guy that took over the game essentially threw a perfect game but only got credit for a combined no hitter. One of those odd baseball rules.

Yeah, I know he doesn't get a PG since he didn't face all 27 batters, i just didn't know if he maybe also walked someone and then they got him out on like a double play ball.

All around though, that's a cool/weird baseball stat that will never be matched.

Can you imagine how awesome it was to be a fan back then? Don't think for a second that there weren't umps that fought back. frick automated strikes. Got a disagreement? Fight that shite out, winner wins the appeal. Aaron Judge will be contesting every called strike.

Correct. He did not walk anyone. He was perfect for the 26 batters he faced.

I like old school stadiums as long as the bathrooms aren't nasty as f#$k. I doubt they had people smearing shite on the toilets and walls back then. I'd rather shite in a hole than many public bathrooms these days. 100% will shite in the woods without a second thought. I don't want arse AIDS.
