They may never get another one ever.

It’s going to become increasingly harder and harder to win one with the portal. It’s unlikely that Jay gets one every other year.

2 in the next 8 years doesn’t seem outlandish. Then 2 more in the next 10 years after that?

Shoot with our brand you can make the case that the portal will continue to help us. The best want to play for a winner and that would be LSU. Great portal players will be trying to get in contact with Jay constantly

I'd argue the opposite, considering the results Jay has had with portal guys. It might be harder for lesser programs, but it seems to be making it easier for LSU.

Actually, the portal, NIL and simply being LSU makes it far more likely that more titles are coming. With a coach that is now not only proven but consistent, top 5 classes every year (often #1) and the ability to add pieces like Skenes, Dickinson, Eyanson, Stanfield, Tommy Banks, Zac Cowan and others through the portal make it likely that the road to Omaha will continue o go through Baton Rouge.

In answer to your question, at least 4 years.

Think about a kid like Monster who grew up idolizing a dude from his home state. Made his dad get him some LSU swag and wanted nothing else but to play for the Tigers like Breg. All he had to do was be offered. I think Anderson was the same.

Wonder why the dumb OP never expounded upon his genius take that it'd become harder to win through the portal?

We were saying this after 2019 with O.

That didn’t materialize.

Now CJJ is a different coach, without any doubt. Just be careful of your mindset. This can swing both ways, “too good” for recruits can also backfire.

Granted USC won a baseball natty in 98. But before that it was in 1974 and 1978.

We have won 4 since 1998 and 8 since 1978.

It is safe to say, we are the more dominant program in the modern era.
We are THE BASEBALL PROGRAM OF THE MODERN ERA 21ST CENTURY.

If LSU plays this new era of college athletics properly it can position itself for another 90s like run. It helps having the baseball version of T-1000 running the program

No one can underestimate the importance of winning a second title with a different group of players, especially when you're sending another batch of top tier draft picks to the MLB.

Anyone can win one, takes a different type of coach/program to win 2 in 3 years, with 2 different groups of players.

They won something like 7 in 11 years. Nobody will ever duplicate that. They were basically the only school who took it seriously back then.
