We were the far better coached and more relaxed team

Coaching is often overstated in baseball outside of pitching changes. But one thing th coach can influence is the overall demeanor of his team

The coastal coach decided to try and be this mean ol snake but he didn’t have the players to make that work. They were supposed to be a defensive team and they honestly sucked both games. Outfield was a circus, infield missed every semi tough play, the catcher was absolute arse considering how good he was supposed to be

Meanwhile our team shined defensively and just looked completely poised from top to bottom. Our pitchers looked completely relaxed and theirs even when on looked on edge

That was the biggest thing I noticed regarding Jay vs their coach. We looked so much more mature and professional

We’ve been that way all year. Jay doesn’t press emotionally and neither do his players.

This team didn't have any leaders though

LSU looked like professionals that take their job seriously and have been at this level before.

CCU looked like a bunch of kids with a bad attitude and expected the title to be handed to them

It’s so much easier to play when you’re relaxed…this is the way

Tennessee makes that attitude work for them. It was square peg round hole for costal and the coach failed not noticing that

We played like we had been there before even though we hadn’t been there before.

In other words we were prepared and we played just like the coach asked them to, one pitch at a time.

It was pretty obvious in the park. All the pressure was on them yesterday and it showed.

When’s it’s as hot as it was today you can’t be wasting any energy as a pitcher. And that dude was geeked out

Even if you have a natural high energy guy on the mound you have to tell him to settle down on a day like today

It was hotter than the blazes of hell without a single cloud in the sky. A lot of the wind was blocked field level. It felt like they were content to take every opportunity to slow the game down. Stands started booing them.

It’s that way because TV is a dude and bring in dogs to play for him. CC coach and players was more little brother/ inferiority complex masked as ‘tough’. Good team but doesn’t work for them

They are both immature men. The opening Friday press conference gave me a weird vibe about that guy. When Jay took the picture with the trophy and this clown he tried to look tough. It was embarrassing. Jay was smiling while he was mean mugging. He’s a hothead man child.

CC’s coach completely let that team down today. He put himself and his ego before the team, and it was easy to see that by how the players reacted the rest of the game.

The opposite was seen with JJ and LSU. His post game interview was all about team team team.

I believe that the coaching of this team is far beyond of the time that we live in. JJ has it on point.

Of course we looked more poised. We played 5-6 teams that were better than coastal.
