We can’t even go undefeated. Sad

Pretty fricking good.
My only hope is that fans around here find aw way to enjoy these seasons in the future. So many spent most of the season talking about what this team lacked and couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

What a year. And this team got slammed by many all the way to the title.

Like LSU-S. They would have beaten our asses!

When are we going 70-0?
That’s the only way the Rant will be happy.

I know we are good defensively but I was surprised that this year was the best fielding percentage we’ve ever had.

I picked LSU to make the CWS after the regular season, but not to win the whole thing.
I thought our pitching set up nicely for a super, but that lack of depth and timely hitting would show itself in Omaha.
I thought Arkansas was deeper and they finally wouldn't choke. Woops

Same here. I knew we had to be close to one of Paul’s better defensive teams, but didn’t expect “best LSU defense of all time”.

All I know is CC is 26-2 in their last 28 games

2009 was 56-17. Played a few more games than some of the others.

I was told we wouldn’t even sniff a regional, and we had no choice but to fire Jay Johnson.

Well the negatigers were right, the Auburn sweep and Bama loss actually did come back to haunt us

2009 had second most wins but lower winning percentage than 1996

Yeah, but LSU didn't have a "26 game winning streak", so 96', 97', and 25' all must still suck, right?!? LMAO!!!

Not gonna lie, after the Auburn sweep and losing the series at A&M, I highly doubted that we’d make it to Omaha, much less win the whole damn thing.
This is one of the most surprising teams to win the championship. We just didn’t have the offensive firepower that other championship teams had.
And up until a couple of weeks ago, the only dependable pitchers we had were Anderson and Eyanson. The bullpen was bipolar and we didn’t have a dependable third starter until Evans started throwing well.
