Do you think Great Apes could eventually evolve enough to have their own Stone Age?

*Obviously talking about Chimps, Orangutan and Gorillas

I guess in some ways they already are in a rudimentary "Stone Age"

Example: Chimps have been observed using stones as an hammer/anvil in order to crack nuts for thousands of years. Old World Monkeys such as Macaques do this as well.

Additionally: A population of chimpanzees in the Fongoli savanna in Senegal has been documented fashioning and using spears to hunt bushbabies (small nocturnal primates that sleep in tree holes during the day). These chimps will break off branches, remove leaves and twigs, and then sharpen the ends with their teeth before thrusting them into tree cavities to strike their prey. Interestingly, this spear-hunting behavior has been observed more frequently in female and juvenile chimpanzees than in adult males in this particular group.

I guess the gist of the thread is this: Do you think Great Apes or even some Old World Monkeys will ever evolve enough to be able to fashion advanced stone tipped spears, nets or possibly even the bow and arrow?

I don't really have an opinion, just thought it might be a fun random topic

Evolution isn’t real and there is not one single shred of evidence that proves anything about that theory.

Yes they are next up if we disappear.

Pretty sure Hollywood already covered this too.

It’s hard to determine if the behavior is in fact “evolved”. Has there been an observable change in the species? Or, have they been doing this for thousands of years already and we are seeing it for the first time? If they are fashioning armor to themselves in a few hundred years, I guess we will know.

That South Park clip is a perfect representation of evolution as the origin of man.

Considering the fact that we are great apes, I’m gonna go with yes.

No. They behave exactly as they were created to behave. Same as extinct hominids such as Cro-Magnans and Neanderthals behaved within their creation model. Modern humans were created last and in their creators image. The gap of intelligence and learning and reasoning ability between modern man and any and every other life form that was ever created is astronomical. By design. Great Apes will always do Great Ape designed stuff until they cease to exist.

Fair.

I know this, but it's the only often used term that umbrellas the other members as well.

Most don't think of humans when they hear "Great Apes"

You are correct. I agree with you and with the hilarious South Park clip that perfectly highlighted how stupid evolutionists are.
