The Batman Part II to begin filming in January

He’s supposedly turning in the screenplay on Monday, so they’ll be able to keep the October 2027 release date if production goes smoothly

Movie and TV production times kill so much of my enjoyment of both these days. fricking ridiculous that almost 6 years will pass between the first and second.
I would not be surprised if this was the last time we see Pattinson behind the cowl and Reeves behind the camera. I bet they end it with this one

I had kinda forgotten the previous one even existed. Feels like the most inconsequential Batman iteration.

There's been word floating around for a while that Reeves has been dealing with "a personal issue". No clue if that's true or what it was, but I can't imagine he would go into the first movie without at least knowing how the next one would play out.

Reeves said something about not wanting the villain to overshadow Bruce’s emotional journey. I think maybe Hugo Strange would be a good fit

That’s also a good choice to dive into his psyche. I’d rather see that adapted in Reeves’ universe than the main DCU.
Same goes for Mr. Freeze, hoping they save him for something less grounded than Reeves’ version.

I dont know anything about this production but this sentence makes me all but certain this will not be ready by Oct 2027.

This thread was started back in June. The scripts been turned in now and Zaslav confirmed they start shooting in the spring
