Wasps, yellow jackets, hornets

On a size ratio, there is not much on this planet that will instill terror and cause an adult human to run like their arse is on fire like triggering a nest that starts attacking you. Bees in general have an impressive defensive coordination with kamikaze-like precision to defend the nest at all costs regardless of the size of their opponent.

old man Noah should have left them off that boat of his along with mosquitoes, roaches, and fire ants.

I was stung by bald yellow jacket a few years back . Felt like someone punched me with a needle in their fist.

I don’t worry about wasps unless I’m near a nest. Yellow jackets will sting you for fun whether you are around their nest or not. They just enjoy it.

mud dobbers - though harmless bc of their zero aggression - are a huge pita bc thier nests stain my brick, chip paint, and are an overall eye sore.

Did you know that Yellowjackets can recognize faces?

Those yellow jackets love to nest in railroad ties- hidden. If you move one and disturb them, they will chase you for 5 miles. Mean mf'ers...

I was clearing brush in my yard and got too close to a Yellowjacket nest in the ground. They got into my pants and tore me up.
In addition to the intense pain on day one, the itching for the next few days was out of control.

Allergic, not an issue, terrified.

Besides getting openly attacked by wasps, there is nothing more terrifying than discovering a nest by accident when you are cutting grass near a fence or shrubs. The wasps are just sitting there like F/A-18 Super Hornets ready to launch and attack your arse.

I achieve great satisfaction from hitting them with tennis racquet. They have no chance.

Ground hornets are the worst because if you don’t know what a ground hornets nest looks like they will attack and kill you.
The only way is to get rid of them is a grande or flame thrower

I’ve never seen them in Virginia. When we lived in Naples the little frickers were everywhere.

I'll just say that those paper wasps hurt like a motherfricker.

I have some hornets that burrowed a nest into the ground. Hardest things I've ever had to kill. Bought 3 bottles of hornet spray to spray in, but once you start, they come out attacking. Used 1 bottle and needless to say, it did not kill them, I think it only made them stronger. Wore some old welding gear and sat and sprayed the other two bottles into the hole, and it still didn't kill them. Ended up going redneck and throwing some gasoline into the hole and setting it on fire.

I don’t know if they sting but those bees that drill holes in wood suck too

Give me a wasp sting any day of the week over the other two.
Wasps tend to mind their business until you disturb them. The other two are some real assholes though
