Matched them on dingers: 1-1
Did better than the piggies with doubles: 4-1
Had more players HBP: 2-1
Struck out a bit more than the porkers: 14-11 (meh)
Had a couple more errors: 3-1 (meh)
And this stat is fricking awesome:
Walked fewer batters: 0-4
Oh, and scored more points: 6-5

As obvious as it is, and continues to show, limiting walks is so impactful in college baseball. Seems like such a simple thing - walk less people, win more.
Truly incredible that we did not walk a single batter.
Kudos to Chares Shores for coming in and pitching very well and throwing strikes. Yes they got some hits, but it is so much better to give up hits than to walk a bunch of people and give up a hit here or there.
Frey's walk in the 9th turned out to be huge.

It's runs, Rabbit. Runs. No points in baseball.

I don't know anything about baseball so I call them points.

Come on. You are better than that.

What an absolutely beautiful game. No?

My favorite game this week! Despite the lack of my favorite play.

But what’s the population of Fayetteville?

I'm pretty sure you are referring to Skip's early days at LSU when "fans" would come up to him and tell him to score more "points". So that everyone knows what you did there.

Some people haven't been around the game threads for very long.

Yep. You can tell which ones.

Catchers interference is an error, right? I believe two of the errors were on Hernandez.

Correct. Hernandez had 2, Jones had 1.
ETA: They both made up for the errors in the bottom of the 9th!

They had a couple of costly “errors” that don’t show up on the box score.

Honestly Arky had three errors just in the 9th. Just weren't scored as such

I've needed a break from this place, but I've never really stepped foot in a game thread. The level of stupidity in those threads are beyond what I'm capable of handling.

They are called “goals” just like in tennis…
