That is my thought as well, but Van Horn can't be that stupid. Can he? To burn two pitchers before rain and then maybe finish one and play another tomorrow?

That was stupid. If anything, you take off the second the catcher tosses the ball back to the pitcher.

So there is no in between in your ever so wise mind? Van Horn is known to pull the trigger early. There is rain threatening. If he pulls Root and rain comes he has burned two arms.
There is one hell of a lot of room between down by 5 and down by a couple.

I wasn't saying to pull him...
I was responding to the poster who said it would be stupid to pull him with the storm coming, then he would blow 2 pitchers.......meaning the coach isn't going to leave him in to give up runs even if it means burning another pitcher due to the storm.
