7 - I want Fears, essengue, or Bailey. Swing big on this pick

23 - I’m hoping Sorber or Fleming fall this far.

Agreed with 7

23 I have no idea who’s gonna be available. I like a lot of guys. Decent chance someone with a borderline lottery grade will drop to 23

There isn't really any centers worth a shite at #23. If we draft Fears and another SF/ SG then we have (2) rookies along with Jose/ Hawk/ Herb wasting minutes. We also end up with the worst center rotation in the NBA with those moves.

That’s bulljive at 23 Ryan Kalkbrenner would be a damn good pick. He’s not a great rebounder but he can do everything else at an efficient level being that Missi would be the starter. He can play stretch 4 while Missi plays the 5.

If I had to pick then I want:

7- Fears, Kon, or Tre Johnson

23- I’m not sure of who but I would like a big that can block shots and shoot the 3 off the bench.

If our plan is to start Missi next year then we might as well rebuild now. Not because I don't like Missi but because its a losing mentality. We aren't realistically competing for anything if Missi is starting and by default someone worse than him as our only backup.

If we are picking a center to backup Missi then we aren't winning a championship or competing for shite IMO. At that point there's no reason to draft any specific center and you just draft BPA at #23.

By default we are a better team with a developing Missi as backup coming off the bench and having more depth. If we are serious about competing then Missi isn't our starter next year. Not saying he won't but if he is then we simpky aren't serious about competing..

This is about the implications and not necessarily the pick.

Man you insane talking about competing for a championship next year lol. Missi gave you 9/8 as a rookie. And still developing. JRE at 6’8 not gonna cut it at the 5. Get a solid player at 7 and a C at 23. And some kinda way slide in a new head coach after the draft then the pelicans will be heading in right direction

If we are closer to "heading in the right direction" than "competing for championships" then we should probably blow it up...

Guess i'm just crazy

After this many years of running it back and being mediocre I shouldn't be seen as the crazy one for thinking we aren't going anywhere by making minimal impact moves.

Especially when you have teams like Indiana, OKC, and Houston that have surpassed us. But yeah lets "move in the right direction" one small step at a time... forever

Drafting to win next year is an idiotic idea. The west is stacked, Dejounte is out half of next year, and Zion is only good for 30 games. I’m drafting for 2-3 years from now. 90% of these guys will not contribute to winning as a rookie so find who can become one of the best players in this draft 2-3 years from now

Centers likely there at 23, Raynaud, Kalkbrenner, and Wolf. Pretty diverse styles of centers. And on a good day if Sorber's foot injury scare away some teams, he could fall.

Yeah, I’d rank them

Sorber(doubt he’s there)
Kalk
Reynaud
Wolf

So then blow it up. If we are keeping this team together with no real vision or intention to compete then THAT'S crazy. And even more crazy for everyone else to be ok with that or cheer that on while also calling me crazy. If I'm crazy then y'alls philosophy is actual insanity. If we are just getting players on a roster for the hell of it then you take BPA not any specific center.

The roster is not the biggest problem. The issue is 90% the only play that is called is Willie yelling “ayee”. Then points outward with each hand. Then two players go to the corners and the ball handler and a shooter runs a high pick and handoff and takes a 3pt shot

Yes for 2 reasons:

#1: Health

#2: A bench of Jose/ Hawk/ Herb/ Karlo/(no one)

If we replace Jose/ Hawk and upgrade starting C while moving Missi to the bench then we atleast have a pulse. Right now the writing is on the wall. The (current) roster isn't doing shite. The scenario above is best case scenario for us to have any chance whatsoever with this exact team. And the only other way to maximize this exact team is to use Herb to upgrade center because he's still the most replaceable asset we have.

Any scenario with Herb/ Missi being starters next year just ensures several more years of mediocre teams and nothingness. But yeah I'm crazy for not wanting to get stuck in a shitty loop.

Some people also have short term memory loss considering Dumars talked about how we have the weakest center depth in the league and that we will focus on that. So yeah that doesn't scream "start Missi, draft a mid backup, and roll with it".

7 - Fears, Kon, Coward ... probably need a pg with DJ out. Coward almost seems too hood to be true. Might be the steal of the draft.

23 - Raynaud or Flemming ... I can't believe Fleming is not going higher in mocks. Big athletic and can shoot the 3.

they will soon. If Herb isn’t gone by all star break then this new front office isn’t any better than Griff an Co. Sell high. Reason they haven’t traded Zion I guess because no team wants to give up anything for him.

But I’d be shocked if zion, herb, and CJ are here in 2 years. Even Trey could go
