Shores is a 1 inning a game guy. Maybe 2 max.

Disagree.

Cooper Williams would be my guess. Then Noot, Cowan, Rizy, and Shores as a last resort. I could see going to Noot or Cowan to start as well.

Chase has found his groove as a late inning intimidator with that triple digit heat. No need to get him out of his sweet spot.

Williams for 2, Shores for 2, Noot for 1, Rizy for 1, Cowan for extras if needed.

Maybe not in this order.

Yes he can. But he seemed to found a role that maximized his impact which was 1-2 inning stints. I don't think going to Shores is a long term move just based on how Jay has used him. He has done so well in those short outings I wouldn't alter it too much. Now he can go more obviously but that has not been his strength this season.

Negative

Shores has done well in relief roles this year. Not so much as a starter. This is basically a starting situation.

You know what would be great... if we jump out to a 6+ run lead and not have to burn any of our go-to guys.

I love it when people have opinions based on their feelings rather than facts.

Shores goes at some point this game but not to start. starting him makes it feel like he needs to extend. Let him come in and pitch 1-2 innings later if needed.
