Lamar Brown Agent

Lamar Brown agent knows what the hell he's doing. That canceled visit was to push the price tag up for LSU, nobody cancels a visit one day and schedule the same visit the next fricken day. Don't hate the kid his agent knows what type of talent he's dealing with and if LSU want him, LSU has to pay for him. This is the college sports world we live in, USC payed $2 mill for an unproven talent so you can kind of guess what Brown price tag is. So don't be mad or disappointed if he end up at A&M because we know BK will not overpay for talent like he did with Underwood or that other kid and look how that shite turned out BK has his best roster since arriving in Baton Rouge.

Oh man, I gave up caring about recruiting years ago. I still follow it bc I love high school ball and LSU, but damn near 70% of a class is gone in three years. The ones we “miss on” or aren’t “takes” go out and transfer back in. Hopefully, we get the numbers right and he’s staying home. If he doesn’t, maybe we’ll see him in 2 years running out the tunnel.

Just pass. I will just never be on board with kids that have never played a down of college football trying to artificially inflate their value. It's a good thing I'm not in charge, my recruiting classes would be shite.
I think it's a character flaw and so far, it has shown to be a sign of things to come more often than not.

I would personally love to have a top 10 overall prospect. Add to that he’s a homegrown talent, and we always keep a special place in our heart for these homegrown guys that stay home.
Hopefully he’s not on these boards. You guys are making it hard to paint tiger fans in a positive light right now.

Oh well, they’re not amateur athletes anymore

BK biological clock is ticking... he went way deeper and harder into the portal this year because he dont have time to keep rebuilding the program

I dont give a shite either way. Its not my pockets to count.
We've seen BK piss away more money on assistant coach buyouts/bad hires. If he feels Lamar Brown is worth it, then pay him. A player's value is worth the money somebody is willing to pay him whether we agree or disagree with the price tag.

It’s agents and family taking advantage of these kids mostly. I want LSU to be good, but this type of unfettered leveraging is not the college football we all grew up loving .

Our subs vs their subs. So exciting. I’ve been divested it’s just entertainment. Nothing more now.

TAM has been loading his pocket. The first to give the petty pay have the easiest time keep their attention.

If I told you that I knew for a fact that to get an in home visit with Leonard Fournette that it cost $25k, would you believe me? How many folks will downvote this? How many will say I’m crazy or that I don’t know what I’m talking about? Let’s just see. You guys think these numbers are new. They are not. They are just new out in the open. The difference in the portal, and that is it. Change that, and it’s football like it used to be. Just where everyone can see it.

quote:Underwood was completely different. I think LSU got up to 7 mill maybe, but 12 mill is a completely different beast. Also, the guy we were competing against was the #2-#3 richest man in the country at the time.

.
big difference in 25k plus what 100k to come here for the #1 player vs every damn 5 star demanding 500-1million a year
i mean i dont care at this point, i will not give a penny to NIL so whatever the donors want, im good with. Ill watch and cheer but about all i can do.
its a principle thing for me, not gonna donate money for an 18 year to make more than me and live better than me. doesnt make a lot of sense to do that IMO. I may change my mind in the future with the way revenue sharing is etc but right now, thats how i feel and many on this board feel.

No the cancelled visit was clickbait by On3. He was just making his scheduled "unofficail visit" and official visit. But On3 had to help push the narrative and make it seem like A&M had him committed already.

Exactly - reminds of all the sleaze bags in AAU ball. AAU coaches getting jobs, kickbacks to direct their players to colleges.
