Who is Jay going to poach from this years field of postseason baseball teams?

Anyone on his radar? Would like to see another Zac/Woffard pickup.
Also, with the potential recruits in attendance to tonight’s game, hopefully Skenes and Tre sling their influence.

He’s absolutely working the recruiting trail during Omaha. He did in 2023 too.

Big Ben is doing his part, at least once or twice per broadcast he brings up that the fastest way to the majors ia through college, the % he quotes is a little high though

I would imagine UCLA's HC has a little underlying motivation to beat LSU tonight given Johnson has taken a couple of pitchers from UCLA (Hurd and Jump) in his time at LSU.
Jay was recently asked about Cliff Godwin's accusations that major conf. schools were recruiting players currently on ECU's team while ECU was in the NCAA Tournament. Godwin didn't name what teams he was accusing. Jay's response was a bit odd. He led by saying "First of all, I have a lot of respect for Cliff and his program". Almost in a defensive posture. That's not to say Jay/LSU is one of the alleged programs. But it is probably not unreasonable to believe they could be given LSU's stature in the sport.
The bottom line is LSU is similar to the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc in MLB. They simply have more resources than most of their competitors when it comes to player aquisitions, and I doubt Jay is all that concerned with making sure he "keeps friends". His job is to win games. If he can poach great players from other programs, he will, because he knows if he doesn't, someone else will.

Some on tRant were calling him Ed O a few weeks ago which was laughable.
He's brought 4 teams to Omaha, twice to the finals, and won it all. He's been the MW coach of the year, the Pac-12 coach of the year, the national coach of the year.
Oh, and we have the #1 recruiting class for next year, again. Whether we win again this year or not, Jay is elite.

I did see a bunch of ECU fans talking about this on social media the other day and some of them were saying LSU was the school Godwin was referencing. Said LSU contacted Austin Irby. Even the ECU fans said Godwin needed to show proof though
