LSU Marble Game History

Any LSU Baseball history stat heads know what LSU’s NCAA Tournament marble game record is since the Bertman era started? I would imagine it would be very high. Maybe over 80%?

LSU hasn’t won a 1-0 game since 2009, only1 win since 2000. Before 2003 they were nearly unbeatable.
My favorite was 2000 where LSU came back in the middle innings and Hawpe nutsacked USC with two 3 run bombs, the first off Mark Prior.
52 seconds into the video. Obligatory incorrect Hawthorne call on his first homer. Hawpe’s second homer is my favorite pose of all time with the way he stuck the bat on the ground.

Hawpe is the best 1st baseman to ever play at LSU

Jim Hawthorne coined it. He meant it as the game is “for all the marbles” which it isn’t even because the team that loses can still come back and beat you. Why I deliberately called it the 1-0 game in my post.

In the 6 team regionals, it was the game where the last two undefeated teams met, both at 2-0. Winner to the championship round, and loser to the loser's bracket.
In the 4 team regionals it's the 1-0 game.
In Omaha, with 2 separate 4 team brackets, it's the 1-0 game.

those teams were so clutch. You youngster need to know where we come from.

No, I’m talking about the whole NCAA Tournament, not just CWS. For instance they won one vs DBU this year. I don’t count Supers, because they are just best of 3.

Which USC did to us in 98. The rant couldn't decide whether to fire skip or fire turtle.
