People on here complain about million for this or even a billion yet those mfers can’t account for trillions. If we are not doing shite about it now it’s just a done deal and i recommend everyone invest as much as you can on military contractors, etc because we are firmly in steal as much from the taxpayers as you can era.

I have some buddies that are retired military and the benefits, pensions and shite they get is fricking staggering. Hell they all retired 5 years or more ago and we are still paying for their moves, kids school etc etc

I am not anti-military at all but it’s fricking ridiculous. Even my wife gets worked up over it, when she finds out her kids get scholly money, plus grants plus GI bill plus this and that and basically make 30k tax free to go to school

The current proposal is to increase military spending considerably. So, the answer is "no."

It's the new version of pork barrel.

Every Senator wants military expenditures in their state and every CongressCritter in their district.

I'll vote for yours if you'll vote for mine.

Zero pentagon DOGE activity.
Zero pentagon audits.
Zero changes to procurement that I’m aware of.

US IC and the pentagon are pretty much autonomous from the civilian government as far as I can tell.

Yea and if they went to a combat zone they earned it.

If they were a desk jockey rainbow warrior then they didn't.

Even liberal Democrats have given up so I guess the military industry complex has completely won. Incredible

Most developed countries provide everyone with what the American government requires citizens to put their lives on the line to receive.

He was in charge of ice cream and supplies for the fleet, I have seen more combat than he did so I am not buying this bullshite anymore.

He is on his 3rd pension and was completely disabled from back pain from sleeping on ship beds.

I don’t mind paying for everything when he served but I didn’t realize it went on forever.

Meanwhile the guys that actually did the fighting and are fricked up are fricked at every opportunity.

The officer class of the military are milking everything they can from the system while the real soldiers are getting fricked.

If you are concerned with the overall military budget, benefits to current and retired military personnel isn't the proper target. We have an obligation to provide the benefits promised when the enlistees donated years of their lives to serve in the military. Cutting benefits for current and retired servicemembers is the wrong approach. Besides, the big money is spent elsewhere.

When you learn the proper word usage of the words "rein" and "reign", then, perhaps we can discuss it.

Pics of wife, please.

I was a combat engineer who deployed. We had clerk typists with us, cooks, supply and so on and so on. They all deployed they were all away from their famies, they all were under the stress of being in a war zone.

All have earned whatever they are entitled to by law. Everyone supports the military but wants the personnel to get nothing.

No plan exist to “reign” in any spending of any kind. We will spend until we are gone.

You sound jealous. What combat have you seen?

He did his duty. What have you done?
