I remember when all the high earners started moving to Florida to escape the taxes…and now they all seem to be moving back.
It seems that class prefers NYC and their income can absorb the additional costs.

Maybe you got me. But, I think the net loss are people that can’t afford to stay in NYC. The Largesse is funded by the people who find taxes to be a nuisance, and they’ve proven to be a remarkably resilient demographic regardless of the low quality politicians in the state.

Nationalizing some industries like Grocery and Liquor stores. I believe all liquor in Pennysylvania is only sold at Government stores so all the profits go to the state. It was the same with currency exchanges in most of Eastern Europe in the 1990s.
