Saw that stat in these highlights. LINK

I know West Virginia has played a weak schedule but it’s still impressive. LSU needs to put this team away early and not let them hang around.

They aren't beating Anderson or Eyanson.

Same. WV isn’t close to being as talented as us but they’re scrappy as hell and will fight until the bitter end.

We should be fine but need to play like we did last Friday/Saturday, not Sunday

Don't forget about the freshman flame thrower, Evans.

My heart can't take another weekend of playing a team like Little Rock.

He threw 109 pitches on Monday after having not pitched in over 2 weeks. Those of you expecting a repeat of Mondays performance this weekend are setting yourselves up for disappointment

Yep, I said this when they were playing last weekend.

he's been like that all year besides 2 starts when he moved to starter. he wasn't even bad in those just not as dominant in 2 games

Yea he's absolutely a great pitcher. I'm just saying he hasn't been built up to throw 109 pitches in a game and he did it on Monday. If he has to come back on Saturday or Sunday I wouldn't expect him to have his full effectiveness. Maybe not even on Monday. Now he may still be good enough to get the job done but don't let your expectations get too high for this weekend

I love stats like this without context. All just averaging out over an entire season - which is all one can do normally. But now you can actually match it up versus teams that tend to perform better against different style pitchers; home versus the road; etc.

A star like that can be viewed many different ways depending on what conclusion you wish to come to.

one thing to remember is that the team they have now isn't necessarily going to look like what they looked like early in the season.

hell we just saw what happens when a team gets hot. we almost fell victim to it

So in games where LSU scores more than 3 runs over what their opponent scores..... LSU wins.
