The usual suspects, Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Barrett side with the liberals. Kavanaugh was nonsensical. He wrote:

“This case primarily concerns Maryland’s ban on the AR–15, a semi-automatic rifle. Americans today possess an estimated 20 to 30 million AR–15s. And AR–15s are legal in 41 of the 50 States, meaning that the States such as Maryland that prohibit AR–15s are something of an outlier.

“Given that millions of Americans own AR–15s and that a significant majority of the States allow possession of those rifles, petitioners [challenging the Maryland ban] have a strong argument that AR–15s are in ‘common use’ by law-abiding citizens and therefore are protected by the Second Amendment under Heller.”

All snarkiness aside... what exactly is it that he's attempting to say? And, obviously, not doing a very good job of...

What the hell does that mean? It's almost as if he thinks they're legal in Maryland.

I would like to remind everyone that the Federalist Society is filled with panty-waisted nerds who cannot be trusted with the continuation of our society and judicial system.

It almost sounds like "most everybody is OK so we aren't going to waste time with these few folks who are having their rights trampled on by the government." I hope that's not what he is saying.

From what I gathered with what is happening, they are waiting on the numerous cases in the circuit courts to work their way through before taking it on and settling it. Even if this is true, it's not comforting to see the minority of conservative justices being the ones to push taking it on now.

The wine mom Barrett is the most disappointing pick ever. May as well just let the dims nominate someone.

This is what I figured.... although are they not allowed to reach down and consolidate all of the cases and then take them up at once?

Gorsuch is pretty solid. Crazy as it sounds, I hope Trump doesn't get to pick the next replacement

9 states infringing on rights is an okay limit to wait for more cases

Make it make sense

Kavanaugh is waiting on a different AR-15 case that is currently in a lower court. It will be before the Court, next term or the next. He knows this. It will be a better case. When it’s up, he’ll provide the 5th vote. And Roberts will vote to hear it, as well. Who knows about Barrett- probably depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Pretty much what he said. Pathetic.
